Shay Skylar is a lead vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and full time performer from Southern California. As the grandson of Tin Pan Alley Hall of Fame songwriter Sunny Skylar, his connection to music began early and shaped a lifelong commitment to the craft. A university graduate in both Music and Music Technology, Shay carries a passion for highlighting real musicianship and reintroducing instruments into modern music culture. He earned a nomination for “Best Americana Song” at the 2021 San Diego Music Awards. His original work blends modern rock with acoustic and pop driven elements, creating a sound that feels contemporary while honoring traditional roots. Shay writes, records, produces, mixes, and promotes all of his own music, demonstrating impressive versatility across electric and acoustic guitar, bass, drums, piano, keyboard, lap steel, mandolin, and more.
